RETAIL PRICES ON SUNFLOWER OIL INCREASED BY 16.17%, demand has not CHANGED
Antimonopoly Committee filed a case of abuse of dominant position sunflower oil in the market against companies Santreyd "and" Kernel-Trade »,
and Pologovskiy oil extraction plant. According to the State inspection to control prices the average price for sunflower oil
in Ukraine on 30 December 2010 amounted to USD 12.46. per liter. On December 20, 2010 level prices rose by 8.9% since the beginning of the 2010/2011 marketing year, consumer prices increased on average by 16.17%.
the above companies are major suppliers sunflower oil to retail and belong to a vertically integrated group that enables them to depend less on changes commodity prices. Recently, the demand for sunflower oil in Ukraine has not changed. All this indicates that there is no objective reasons for the increase prices for these products.
